About Us

We are a research group belonging to the Chemistry Department at the Federal University of São Carlos. Our main research interest relates to separation science and mass spectrometry and deals with enantiomeric separation at analytical and preparative scale, bioafinity methods for identifying enzyme binders, molecular recognition of small molecules at natural products or synthetic combinatory library, drug, environmental, metabolism, identification of new compounds entities and, degradation product analysis. With these skills, we can provide strong support of pharmaceutical and drug development researches. We design toolbox to solve problems, including state-of-the-art sample preparation by 2D LC-MS/MS procedures. In this context restricted access media, for on-line sample preparation, is one of a recurrent topic of research. Green chromatographic approaches are also one of our main goals.

Our team is composed of a vibrant group of postdoctoral researchers, graduated and undergraduate students, all of them working at their individual projects. The permanent staff of the Separare nuclei is formed by:

  • Neila Maria Cassiano - D.Sc., Researcher Supporter and responsible for the services for the external customers
